Midwinter Spring-tease-
ice recedes from the sidewalks,
whispers "I'll be back..."

Inhospitable-
Frozen outside world repels
We remain inside.

My dog needs a walk-
Pent-up energy wants out
He may soon explode.

Sun's warmth through a lens-
We bake beneath the window
Winter stays outside.
